I trained in medicine at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine (training language is English), Ankara, Turkey and graduated in 1995 and I become MD. My subsequent general medicine training was in Akdeniz University Hospital in Antalya, Turkey between 1996-2001 under the vision of Prof. Dr. Gulsen Yakupoglu. Than I become a member of Turkish Medical Association.
In December 2001, I began my Clinical Nephrology training in Akdeniz University Hospital, Antalya, Turkey (Under the vision of Prof. Dr. Gulsen Yakupoglu, Prof. Dr. Gultekin Suleymanlar, Prof. Dr. Fevzi Ersoy). Akdeniz University has been a leader in organ transplantation especially kidney transplantation since 1982. During this period, between 2001-2005, I have followed up nearly 100 living related kidney transplantations/year, general nephrology patients as well as internal medicine patients. Than I became a member of Turkish Society of Nephrology. My research during my nephrology training has included immunsuppressive drugs and diabetes mellitus development in renal transplanted patients, factors associate with endothelial function in peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis and renal transplanted patients.
Additionally, in May 2004, I went to San Bartolo Hospital, Vicenza, Italy for six months, worked as an observer nephrology fellow under the vision of Prof. Dr. Claudio Ronco. During this period I have studied stem cells in the cell laboratory of Dr. Massimo de Cal, also I have had a chance of doing clinical and experimental studies. During this period, my research was included albumin bound uremic toxins and removal of them, effect of different immunsuppressive drugs on U937 cell culture,.
In May 2005, I began to work for my mandatory job in Ataturk State Hospital in Antalya/Turkey as a Nephrology and Internal Medicine doctor. I worked there for five years, and during this time my clinical expertise is in acute renal failure, hypertension, vasculitis and SLE, diabetic nephropathy, follow up of renal transplantation, peritoneal dialysis and hypertension patients. Also in 2007, I become an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
In 2011, I become a member of renal transplantation unit in Medicalpark Hospital, Antalya under the vision of Prof. Dr. Alper Demirbas. In 2013, I was appointed Professor of Nephrology at University of Kemerburgaz in Istanbul, and I secondly was appointed Professor of Nephrology at University of Acıbadem in Istanbul. Between September 2014 and June 2015 I worked at the University of Acıbadem as a Senior Lecturer in Renal Medicine and also I was a cofounder of Renal Transplantation Unit. In June 2015, I studied to work again in Medicalpark Hospital, Organ Transplantation Unit. In our unit, we do 350-400 renal transplantations mostly from living related donors since 2008. We have got more than 7000 renal transplanted patients in our outpatient polyclinic control. Our success rate is 98%.
My research has included renal transplantation from elderly donors, renal transplantation in elderly patients,use of tacrolimus during pregnancy after renal transplantation, update of urological problems after renal transplantation, transcatheter mitral valve repair using mitraclip in patients with renal transplantation, renal transplantation in patients who had low left ventricular ejection fraction. My clinical expertise is in nephrology, nephro-urology, trasnplantation, acute renal failure, vasculitis-FMF&SLE, diabetic nephropathy. My current work is on collection of all our transplantation data on transplantation unit since 2008. I have published nearly 50 papers, and translated chapters in text books to Turkish language. I have been a visiting professor in a number of countries including Azerbaycan, Kırgızistan, Kazakistan and Greece.

I trained in medicine at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine (training language is English), Ankara, Turkey and graduated in 1995 and I become MD. My subsequent general medicine training was in Akdeniz University Hospital in Antalya, Turkey between 1996-2001 under the vision of Prof. Dr. Gulsen Yakupoglu. Than I become a member of Turkish Medical Association.
In December 2001, I began my Clinical Nephrology training in Akdeniz University Hospital, Antalya, Turkey (Under the vision of Prof. Dr. Gulsen Yakupoglu, Prof. Dr. Gultekin Suleymanlar, Prof. Dr. Fevzi Ersoy). Akdeniz University has been a leader in organ transplantation especially kidney transplantation since 1982. During this period, between 2001-2005, I have followed up nearly 100 living related kidney transplantations/year, general nephrology patients as well as internal medicine patients. Than I became a member of Turkish Society of Nephrology. My research during my nephrology training has included immunsuppressive drugs and diabetes mellitus development in renal transplanted patients, factors associate with endothelial function in peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis and renal transplanted patients.
Additionally, in May 2004, I went to San Bartolo Hospital, Vicenza, Italy for six months, worked as an observer nephrology fellow under the vision of Prof. Dr. Claudio Ronco. During this period I have studied stem cells in the cell laboratory of Dr. Massimo de Cal, also I have had a chance of doing clinical and experimental studies. During this period, my research was included albumin bound uremic toxins and removal of them, effect of different immunsuppressive drugs on U937 cell culture,.
In May 2005, I began to work for my mandatory job in Ataturk State Hospital in Antalya/Turkey as a Nephrology and Internal Medicine doctor. I worked there for five years, and during this time my clinical expertise is in acute renal failure, hypertension, vasculitis and SLE, diabetic nephropathy, follow up of renal transplantation, peritoneal dialysis and hypertension patients. Also in 2007, I become an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
In 2011, I become a member of renal transplantation unit in Medicalpark Hospital, Antalya under the vision of Prof. Dr. Alper Demirbas. In 2013, I was appointed Professor of Nephrology at University of Kemerburgaz in Istanbul, and I secondly was appointed Professor of Nephrology at University of Acıbadem in Istanbul. Between September 2014 and June 2015 I worked at the University of Acıbadem as a Senior Lecturer in Renal Medicine and also I was a cofounder of Renal Transplantation Unit. In June 2015, I studied to work again in Medicalpark Hospital, Organ Transplantation Unit. In our unit, we do 350-400 renal transplantations mostly from living related donors since 2008. We have got more than 7000 renal transplanted patients in our outpatient polyclinic control. Our success rate is 98%.
My research has included renal transplantation from elderly donors, renal transplantation in elderly patients,use of tacrolimus during pregnancy after renal transplantation, update of urological problems after renal transplantation, transcatheter mitral valve repair using mitraclip in patients with renal transplantation, renal transplantation in patients who had low left ventricular ejection fraction. My clinical expertise is in nephrology, nephro-urology, trasnplantation, acute renal failure, vasculitis-FMF&SLE, diabetic nephropathy. My current work is on collection of all our transplantation data on transplantation unit since 2008. I have published nearly 50 papers, and translated chapters in text books to Turkish language. I have been a visiting professor in a number of countries including Azerbaycan, Kırgızistan, Kazakistan and Greece.
